EN 10217-1 (BS EN 10217-1) is the European technical delivery specification for welded non-alloy steel pipes for pressure purposes with specified room-temperature properties. It covers SAWH (Spiral Submerged-Arc Welded) pipes in two quality levels:

Test pressure is the lower of 70 bar or calculated by the formula P = 20 × S × T / D, where S = 70% of specified minimum yield strength. Hold time is at least 5 seconds for OD ≤ 457 mm and 10 seconds for OD > 457 mm.
